Evie’s always thought of herself as normal. Sure her best friend is a mermaid, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shapeshifter and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours, but still. Normal.
Only now paranormals are dying and Evie’s dreams are filled with haunting voices and mysterious prophecies. She begins to suspect there is a link between her abilities and the sudden rash of deaths, and even worse, that she is at the center of a dark prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.
Well, Evie, our heroine, was very funny and I loved how she described everything. I am a huge fan of tv series and lockers myself and enjoy spending time inside her head. She had just the right mix of bravery, humour and irony. And all the way she was concerned with doing the right thing. I love a character that believes in something and sticks to that.
Now about the plot, the story was nice, well build, there where a lot of hints about everything so no major surprise, but I enjoyed it very much. But sometimes it felt like Evie didn’t had the chance to anything to move the plot forward, she was just drag around by everything that happened.
I also loved the titles of each chapter. That was one great touch! 🙂
